Organisation description: Parent and baby groups ran every Monday during term time only. The groups are unstructured and free play is encouraged. Refreshments available for both parent and child.
Mum Social every Tuesday during term time only. Mums and babys meet for a coffee and chat.
Buggy Walk runs every Wednesday during term time only. Parents and babys meet and go for a small walk around the Swinton area and end with a coffee and chat at a local cafe.
We are a friendly welcoming group and want to support mums and dads who are bringing up children, we want them to feel they are not alone. We encourage parents to come out of their homes to meet new friends and encourage their children to socialise with others.
The aim of the group is to keep it as unstructured as possible and allow children and parents to communicate with others and build those social skills and make friends.
we have a active whatsapp group for those who arent quite ready to walk into group yet and by chatting daily via text they build confidence and develop friendships and encouragement to engage in one of the meet ups.
Plans for the group is to expand to school holidays and arrange for trips and short breaks for the families in Salford to access. We would like to offer homework clubs for primary and secondary children encouraging parents to come along to try and support their children with the ever growing work load. We want to begin a parent and toddler cooking class looking at budget and family meals.
I am also in the process of setting up a breakfast and after school club.
