Heart of Salford 2023
We celebrated our 20th Heart of Salford Awards on Thursday 14th December 2023.
Shortlisted nominees, invited guests and Civic guests joined us at Buile Hill Park Hall to celebrate the achievements and difference that volunteers and VCSE organisations make to the city of Salford. After a delicious lunch and a musical performance by the MAPAS steel band, the awards began. All nominees were invited to the stage and presented with a certificate, we then shared films of the shortlisted nominees which gave a short but moving insight into the impact that individual volunteers, volunteer teams and VCSE organisations are making to people’s lives in our community. The winners were decided on the day by the audience which added to the atmosphere. The winners of each category were presented with a handmade wood award which was crafted by Start in Salford.
