Volunteer Opportunities
As part of the gardening group you will carry out a range of tasks related to the maintenance and development of our community green spaces. The group meets at The Castle Community Centre where there are refreshments and bathroom facilities.
Responsibilities may include:
• Planting, watering, weeding, and general maintenance of garden areas
• Helping to prepare the soil for planting
• Assisting in the planning and layout of garden spaces
• Harvesting produce and flowers when they are ready
• Helping to maintain garden tools and equipment
• Providing information and support to community members who wish to get involved
• Assisting in the creation and maintenance of composting systems
• Keeping the garden area clean, safe, and accessible for all community members

You do not need to have any previous experience to volunteer, however we do welcome those with some knowledge and skills that they would like to share. Please be prepared to work as a team and work in an environmentally responsible manner.
