Volunteer Opportunities
Groundwork Vision:
Our vision is to create a greener, fairer and stronger future for all people, communities and places in Greater Manchester. Our work will focus on those that need support the most and harness the strengths of Greater Manchester’s people, places and communities in order to mobilise practical action that delivers environmental and social justice.
Rag Revival:
Rag Revival aims to educate GM residents on textile waste by upcycling and repurposing rag/unusable material into something fun and creative!
We are looking for volunteers to help support 6 workshops in December, that will educate and upskill participants. The workshops will aim to teach basic mending techniques as well as boosting confidence, mindfulness and employability, all whilst contributing to a reduction in carbon emissions by diverting waste from landfill.
Volunteers will support the Workshop Lead with prepping for workshops and setting up/down, ensuring learners are sticking to the resources and workshops plans, provide support with reading resources and instructions, monitoring and supervising the learners whilst completing upcycling activities. If you are interested in volunteering at the workshops we would LOVE to hear from you.
The Workshops will take place in the following locations and dates:
3rd December at Ancoats
6th December in Eccles
10th December at Ancoats
13th December in Eccles
17th December at Ancoats
