Digital Champion Volunteer

Description:

• Provide one-on-one and group support sessions to help individuals with basic digital skills.
• Assist users in setting up and using their laptops, smartphones, and tablets.
• Guide individuals in navigating the internet, including browsing websites, using search engines, and accessing online services.
• Teach basic software applications, such as email, word processing, and social media platforms.
• Offer troubleshooting assistance for common technical issues.
• Promote safe and responsible use of the internet and digital devices.
• Maintain a friendly, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for learners.
• Keep records of sessions and report progress to the coordinator.

You don’t need to be an IT expert to become a Digital Champion. Anyone who is willing to make a commitment, whether large or small, to help people get online can join our team. We are looking for individuals who have:
• Confidence in using laptops, smartphones, tablets, and the internet.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience and the ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, clear manner.
• A passion for helping others and promoting digital inclusion.
