Volunteer Opportunities

Are you interested in supporting families whilst gaining new skills and being a valued member of a welcoming team? We are looking for warm, supportive, and friendly people to join our new Family Hub volunteering team!
We are looking for volunteers to help us with gathering research about what the families of Salford feel and experience. They are the experts and by helping them share their knowledge you will be helping them to shape how we deliver our services.
This opportunity to anyone who is interested in learning more about community outreach and research as it would provide a fun setting for real world learning about how organisations do information gathering and research.
You would be volunteering alongside partners from Salford City Council, Salford CVS and community organisations. Volunteers will engage with families and help them get their ideas and thoughts across to the Family Hubs Team!
Examples of some activities that volunteers may carry out include:
• Meeting families and chatting with them
• Helping families to complete questionnaires and surveys
• Inputting data in a professional setting
• Developing research tools and techniques
• Collating information and preparing evaluations
