This opportunity is available at many of our shops across the region, for example: Swinton, Central Manchester, Whitworth Park, Withington, Oldham, Bury, Chorlton-cum-Hardy. Please feel free to contact us to identify your nearest opportunity.

Christmas is a very busy time for our shops with just a short window of opportunity to capitalise on people searching for perfect sustainable presents!
The money raised funds Oxfam’s emergency and development work all over the world, for example providing clean water and sanitation to camps for displaced people.
We are particularly looking for volunteers to work on the shop floor but a willingness to adapt to the needs of the business is beneficial. The role will mainly incorporate:
• Offering great customer service.
• Managing transactions through the till.
• Receiving donations.
• Keeping the shop floor looking beautiful.
• Ensuring stock levels are maintained.

What type of activity will volunteers be doing?: Environment, Fundraising, General and Helping, Human and Civil Rights, Retail - Charity shops etc.

No previous experience is required but enthusiasm and a cheerful nature are essential and the following would be beneficial:
Flexibility and a willingness to get "stuck in"!

Ability to work within Oxfam’s policies and shop guidelines.
An interest in retail and customer service.
Ability to work well as part of a team and under own initiative.
A willingness to learn &/or share your knowledge.
