About the fund
The Active East Salford Fund will be awarding grants of up to £5000 & £10,000 (depending on your organisations turnover) to support organisations to deliver projects that will support residents of East Salford (please refer to the guidance for the boundary / wards included ) and specifically Broughton to get moving more.
The fund is looking to support projects that will:
- help break down the barriers people face when it comes to being active
- provide new activities that meet the needs and interest of the communities they work with in East Salford
- Adapt a current activity to incorporate more moving
This fund is looking to engage a variety of VCSE organisations embedded in the East Salford area that have a deep connection and understanding of the needs and wants of their communities. The fund is focused on movement and therefore it is looking for projects that communities look forward to, that encourage and empower people to move in a way that doesn't necessarily need to be seen as exercise or sports but in ways that communities will engage with.
Lets change the narrative on what it means to be physically active!
