VCSE sector transport workshop

Salford CVS are excited to invite you to a workshop designed specifically for VCSE sector organisations interested in enhancing, expanding, or developing transport schemes.

Date: 16th October
Time: 10am–12.30pm

Location: Elm Bank,
                46 Half Edge Lane,
                Eccles, Manchester,
                M30 9BA

This event is tailored to both current transport scheme providers and organisations considering the extension of their operations into transport services for two areas:

  • Adult Social Care: Including patient transport to and from appointments, and support for discharged patients.
  • Children's Services: Focusing on transportation for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

 Why Attend?

The workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore the current landscape, address the challenges, and identify opportunities in transport service provision. You will hear directly from:

  • Mike Corrigan, Managing Director of Adult Social Care, (Northern Care Alliance) who will provide insights into the pressing challenges faced by the Adult Social Care sector and discuss opportunities for VCSE transport providers.
  • Rebecca Pendlebury, Operations Manager Passenger Support Unit, (Salford City Council) who will share their perspective on the needs and opportunities within Children's Services, particularly for SEND transport.

Whether you are already involved in transport schemes or looking to expand your service offerings, this workshop will provide an insight into emerging areas of opportunity through engaging with sector leaders.
