GMCA and Cisco have launched GM LINK

Cisco and GMCA have just launched the LINK Programme, a social value innovation incubator for the Greater Manchester area.

The goal is to find innovative local businesses who can help solve issues around health & social care, and climate change.

Those businesses that are successfully chosen to be one of three cohorts will have full access to the capabilities of the Cisco network which is used across multiple public agencies and services. In addition, a £5,000 cash grant will be awarded to support solution development, and
the opportunity to engage with and take advantage of the Cisco ecosystem and partnerships.

The competition will select five winning companies to engage in a 10-week programme that aims to create significant social value in the areas of Health and Climate Tech through demonstrating innovative products, services, and applications. Winners will be provided with a platform to showcase solutions, receive expert support, and access resources for tech advancement.

Competition 1 is open to startups and SMEs keen to make a social difference through their innovative solutions. "If you're ready to lead positive change and are based in the UK, GM LINK is for you!" The competition offers the opportunity to receive support in areas such as security, product and technical development, end user application and other related areas. This support can help start-ups gain valuable knowledge and improve their technical capabilities. A cash grant of £5,000 will be provided to the winning companies for solution development.
