Anti-Discriminatory Practice & Identity – Cultural Consciousness Work with Children and Families

Aims and Objectives:

  1. To explore and challenge our perceptions and bias about people different to us 
  2. To consider how to work with protected groups in a culturally competent way 
  3. To look at individual people and think about their needs and how to speak to them and write about them. 
  4. To consider what someone's identity is and what that means to them. 
  5. To be more equipped to work in an anti-discriminatory way with children and families

Multi-agency Level 3 Guest Speaker - The Multi-Agency Guest Speaker 1 and Guest Speaker 2 course is open to all delegates that have completed the new Working Together to Safeguarding Children training or the previous 2 day Foundation Course and who work with and come into regular contact with children, young people and families

E-Safety Essentials Intermediate Course –  A journey into the online world which our young people navigate every day.

During this ½ day course you will learn about online risks, how to respond to incidents, and how to encourage young people to be safe online. The course considers what young people are doing online, what we should be looking for and how to practically deliver direct work to children and young people.
