Homelessness Prevention & the Criminal Justice System

Join the Greater Manchester Homelessness Action Network in bringing together partners working across the criminal justice and homelessness systems to explore the good work that is being done and understand how we can work together to build on this and improve outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.

There has been a lot of positive change happening in the criminal justice system, with new pathways for prison leavers being developed, services commissioned, and positive interventions introduced. But as things change it can often be hard to know what options are available. Within this complex system our full network event will help you learn more about the work that is going on, directly from those who have been involved. We will also be sharing information about upcoming changes in legislation and the impact this may have.

It will be an opportunity to hear from some of our amazing partners who are specialists in this area, such as JustLife, GM Housing First, Probation, and Revolving Doors. But it’s also a chance to have your voice heard, share your opinions and ideas about what still needs to be addressed.

Everyone is welcome at this event – and we particularly want to hear from people with personal experience of using these services! People with lived experience of homelessness, frontline workers, managers, commissioners and decision makers are all equally welcome at all GMHAN events, so please share with colleagues, volunteers and people using services and encourage them to come along.
