Throughout the despair and gloom of the global pandemic, nature has provided the opportunity to reconnect with the world.
People have gone on daily walks in nature, stood in cornfields, listened to birdsong and watched the budding of spring. We have learned to appreciate even more, the value of our green spaces and the calming effect of nature’s designs on our mental wellbeing.
“Why Nature?”
Nature heals, soothes and restores (The Field Clare Cooper Marcus).
Research has demonstrated nature can reduce;
- stress, muscle tension, anxiety, anger, fear
- improve mood, blood pressure, heart rate, emotional balance
