Katie from Walkden

My Community Connector said ‘what can I do to help you…is there anything that you like to do for yourself?” This was the question that mattered.

Julie from Eccles

‘Without my Community Connector I would not have received any help, none of this would not have happened and she was willing to try all avenues to get me the help I needed

I would recommend as it’s been so helpful’

Steve from Ordsall

‘It’s been great to find out about things I can get involved in I wouldn’t have knew about this if it wasn’t to you’

Salford GP 1:

I've seen some amazing transitions with people who are… who hopefully they will turn into long-term things in terms of their lifestyles changing or for whatever reason.  But if nothing else, giving them a sense of purpose through volunteering is great, and that's something which should be really celebrated.

Salford GP 2:

I just think it’s a great thing, I think it’s very much needed with how society and community living is in 2019, it’s different than it was in the 60s and 70s….. So, I see social prescribing just being part of primary care…it seems really well run, really approachable, responsive, receptive and I think it’s been great having someone based in the practice.

Dr Michelle Howarth Research Lead (Health Directorate) School of Health & Society,  Salford University:
