Description:

This activities facilitator role, involves being imaginative and creative in the person centred creation, planning and facilitation of individual and/or group activities. Current supported community activities include; trips to the cinema, theatre, museums, shopping, art events, parks, zoo’s, swimming, pubs and clubs. Whilst within Outreach, we have cooking evenings, bake offs, Bingo, Karaoke, Quizzes, and mystery evenings.

Tasks may include:
• Creation of innovative & fun activities with service user involvement
• Shadow support to the quality & staff development manager.
• Empowerment of service users in the design and delivery of support
• Assisting service users social and/or cultural needs through activities.
• Empowering service users to attend activities, events, venues, etc.
• Promotion of positive health & wellbeing via activities, I.e. rambling.
• Developing, organising & co-facilitation of activity related workshops.
• Assisting in the recruitment of volunteers for activities and events.
• Organising & co-facilitating service user led activities forums
• Ensuring that service user rights and dignity are maintained.
• Supporting service users in individual and/or collective choices.
• Encouraging all service users to be involved in deciding activities.
