Description:

Are you interested in supporting families whilst gaining new skills and being a valued member of a welcoming team? We are looking for warm, supportive, and friendly people to join our new Family Hub volunteering team!

We are looking for volunteers to support the Stay and Play sessions in Swinton – delivered by Salford City Council to provide parents/carers and toddlers a fun, social setting to meet each other and play.

You would be volunteering alongside partners from Salford City Council, Salford CVS and Community Organisations.

Volunteers will engage with families and help them get the most out of the sessions. Examples of some activities that volunteers may carry out include:
• Greeting families and making them feel welcome
• Registering first-time families
• Taking attendance at the groups
• Helping session leaders and supporting families
• Helping to layout, set up, and pack down spaces and rooms
• Handing out and collecting toys
• Keeping spaces clean and tidy
• Signposting other Family Hubs activities
• Answering questions about Family Hubs
