Description:

As a volunteer in the Youth Hubs, you can get involved in big variety of sessions and groups.
Your role would be to support the Youth Worker deliver their session. This could include:
• Setting up and tidying up the sessions
• Supporting in the delivery of the session, which could involve cooking, indoor and outdoor activities, arts and crafts
• Supporting the youth worker in their session, and
• Supporting and interacting with the young people attending the session.
Groups are mainly from 5-8 or 6-9, and we ask for a regular commitment to one of these sessions.
This is a great volunteering role that can give you the some of the skills required to become a youth worker yourself. As a Youth Hub volunteer, you’ll become part of the Youth Hub team. There are lots of different groups for you to volunteer with, learn from and grow your skills with.

Salford CVS is working in partnership with the Youth Centres and Family Hubs in Salford to provide volunteering opportunities for local people, who wish to empower and support the children, young people and families of Salford

Skills and qualifications that may be needed or developed:

No formal skills or qualifications are required for this role.
We ask that you bring your enthusiasm and an interest in volunteering with and supporting young people. We can train you in any other skills you may need for the role! Level 1, 2 and 3 in Youth Work is also offered regularly free.
A DBS will be required for this role, which the Youth Hubs will pay for, along with out of pocket expenses.
