Violence Reduction Unit work
Salford CVS is working in partnership with the Violence Reduction Unit, 10GM and the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in Salford to support the delivery of a community-led programme on violence reduction.
The programme works with young people aged 10-25 and their families who are living in Ordsall, Weaste, Seedley, Pendleton and Charlestown, with the intended outcomes being:
- Improved aspirations.
- Improved access to activities and opportunities.
- Improved mental and physical wellbeing.
- Improved relationships between young people and their parents/carers.
- Improved sense of pride, respect and belonging in their community.
VCSE Organisations in this partnership are: Salford Foundation (lead partner), Salford Community Leisure, Oasis Hub MediaCityUK, Swinton Lions, I4YPC and Mancunian Way.
