Organisation description: The Sclan Music Foundation is dedicated to making music education accessible to young people in the Northwest region of England. We believe that music inspires creativity, connects communities, and celebrates cultural heritage. We propose two key initiatives: the SCLAN Learning Club and The Band Experience.
The SCLAN Learning Club offers weekly lessons, guest speaker sessions, and community-based workshops aimed at boosting confidence and artistic development among young people. The Band Experience features annual interactive workshops, providing aspiring musicians with opportunities to refine their skills and build professional networks.
Both initiatives aim to dismantle financial and social barriers to accessing music learning. These initiatives transform lives by fostering self-confidence, creativity, and community connections. They promote positive behaviors and reduce harmful influences by encouraging participants to engage with music as a tool for personal growth.
Our beneficiaries include children, young people, and aspiring musicians from diverse backgrounds. Participants gain valuable skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging, contributing to their personal development and well-being. The Band Experience is an annual event held in June, while the SCLAN Learning Club operates weekly throughout the year.
We will utilize local outreach, social media campaigns, and collaborations with schools and community organizations to raise awareness.
