In recognition of the contribution made by ex-service personnel, we wish to foster an environment of wellbeing and shared experiences and therefore we offer a ‘safe haven’ to veterans and their families. We offer emotional and practical support, information and an ongoing camaraderie for those, and by those, who share experiences of both war and peace. We offer a number of services such as a Breakfast club, Befriending, Home visiting, property maintenance, Ladies group, Boxing club group and Radio Programme - Military Matters and will be adding to these as we expand. We have ongoing events and celebrations throughout the year and are supported by Salford City Council.
We will support individual volunteers or organisation who would like us to support their volunteers for example through befriending. We will support and mentor young people who wish to engage in volunteering opportunities such as to attain their Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme or similar schemes and work with local schools to provide talks on military history and specific events such as Gallipolli, WWII etc. - we work through a 7 day week
