The Lifecentre has been supporting the local community in Langworthy since 2000. Opened initially as a youth centre, it now provides a range of projects with and for local people. It is a registered charity with The Charity Commission, is part of the Salford FoodShare Network and works with a wide range of partners across the city. The Lifecentre has a range of projects for children and young people including a Breakfast Club, Homework club, Paired-Up Reading, Holiday clubs to challenge holiday hunger, Jesus and Me Club; and for adults: Counselling, free Legal Advice Clinic on Family Law, Buggy Movers, We Run Salford and Salford Scorpions.
The Lifecentre has a close partnership with Langworthy Community Church and is a Christian charity. The trustees and staff are motivated by a desire to see God’s love shared in Salford through acts of kindness, living goodness and standing up for justice in our community. The vast majority of our trustees, staff and volunteers live in Langworthy and Weaste.
