Organisation description: Our Mission:
To provide information and practical support to European migrants at risk of abuse, exploitation and discrimination in Greater Manchester in order to identify and address the root causes of poverty, injustice and social exclusion.
Our objectives:
1. To relieve the financial hardship and mental distress of European migrants and their dependents through the provision of advice and advocacy services, interpreting and translating and counselling and psychological support.
2. To promote the learning and education of European migrants and their dependents through the continual development of their individual capabilities, competencies, skills and understanding in the English language and vocational and social skills including employability.
3. To promote social inclusion for the public benefit and avoid poverty by working with European migrants and their dependents who are socially excluded due to their ethnic origin or nationality and to assist them to integrate into British society.
4. To promote equality and diversity for the public benefit by promoting activities that foster understanding and co-operation between vulnerable European migrants and other people in their local neighbourhoods or from other ethnic groups.
Application Form (Stage 1 of 2)
Information entered on this form will be stored electronically with the Consortium Hub, currently
Salford CVS. The information will be used to: create a membership directory and database of services
for use within the Consortium and stakeholders; a mailing list will be created for the purpose of
communicating events, meetings and updates; publicity materials such as the membership directory and
printed publications will be used to publicise the Salford Third Sector Consortium and services.
5. To provide a convenient point of access and community hub for vulnerable European migrants and their dependents to engage with service providers and to enable those providers to better meet the needs of vulnerable European migrants.
