Organisation description: Music Industry Learning is the world's first 'virtual' music industry academy. We provide unique training on all aspects of the music industry from songwriting and composing to recording, performing, promotion, getting a job in the music business and even how to get a record deal. We are 'virtual' because there are no classes to attend as such. All training is done in your own time in the comfort of your own home if you like; in fact, anywhere where there is a computer and the Internet. Learners must be over 16. Free training is provided to those in receipt of benefits in the Salford area (£140 to those not meeting the criteria). The course would take no longer than 8 weeks to complete, however, learners will receive up to 36 weeks of support. This includes weekly job updates sent via email. Learners will also receive six unique books we have written about the music industry. Look at website for further information.
