Organisation description: Supporting children and young people in Swinton, Salford and the surrounding areas to shift their mindset to make positive choices for themselves and those around them. To empower them by providing knowledge and skills that can form them into positive and active members of the community they live and can thrive in.
Providing alternative education, mentoring and sports programmes for young people aged 5 - 18 who struggle to access mainstream education, through our programmes we will offer bespoke curriculum work that will ensure they are accessing their fullest potential.
0161 Education engages with children and young people in a way other organisations may not be able to. Our dedicated team are all from Greater Manchester, and having faced challenges growing up, and chosen a pathway away from criminality, violence and unhealthy relationships.
With the support of schools, social workers, parents, carers and other stakeholders, we provide children and young people with an opportunity to change their mindset, to grow and to make choices that are best for them and those around them.
The structure and content of our sessions are based on sound evidence, personal experience, and an understanding of local issues and will be built in conjunction with referral organisations and our children and young people. Our Facilitators shape the sessions around an individual’s needs, and will flex as we move through each programme.
We care about the individual. We commit to each programme. We provide change.
