Organisation description: We are a nonprofit charitable organisation committed to advancing adult learning and promoting digital inclusion for Orthodox Jewish women in Salford. We run a strategic training program which includes both accredited and non-accredited courses including but not limited to NVQ level 3 courses in bookkeeping, childcare, legal secretarial, and Payroll. Level 1, 2 and 3 in basic IT skills, level 1,2 and 3 in basic numeracy and literacy, and ESL. We also offer a range of vocational classes for personal development.
We are supporting a marginalised, hard-to-reach, ethnic minority who will not access the facilities of the general public as they require a female-only culturally sensitive environment. They therefore are currently not accessing education and are unlikely to without our services.
Our courses provide the skills that lead either to volunteering opportunities, progression in further education or directly to employment.
Our centre also serves as a social hub where people can make friends, and feel a sense of belonging.
