Organisation description: Girl Gang Manchester is a collective of artists, activists, academics and party instigators. We produce accessible, fun and meaningful projects that celebrate creativity, community and connection. Over 7.5 years and 200+ events and projects we’ve produced cross art form, participatory, socially and politically engaged work, including immersive screenings, exhibitions, creative club nights, online projects, workshops, theatre and zines. We’ve worked with organisations including The Lowry, NHS and Manchester International Festival. We love nothing more than connecting people over debates, discussions and dance floors. Our work is playful, visual and responsive. We believe that everyone is an artist, popular culture can be profound and politics and feminism are for everybody. We create quality participatory projects that celebrate creativity as a powerful tool to reflect and recharge.
