Organisation description: Boothstown Bowling Club & Pavilion is a bowling club with over 100 members providing healthy outdoor activities for people through social and competitive bowling. During Winter months we run other activities such as Kurling, Art Group, Dominoes. We manage the pavilion which is owned by Salford City Council. We do this by encouraging local groups to use the pavilion on a weekly basis to broaden the facilities available to local residents including fitness classes and activities for young children. We work with Salford City Council by maintaining the bowling green ourselves. We provide the technical expertise, volunteers and fund the fertilisers and equipment to keep the green in excellent condition. We also maintain the flower beds in the park to a high standard such that we have retained Green Flag status for many years.
