The aim/ goal of ‘Become United’ is to offer a variety of support to BAMER (Black Asian Minority Ethnic and Refugee) individuals of all ages and genders, families and communities who face marginalisation, discrimination and barriers to accessing base services, within the Greater Manchester area of England. Our over-arching aim is the advancement of human rights, conflict resolution or reconciliation or the promotion of religious or racial harmony or equality and diversity.
The organisation is fairly new, the team have over 15years combined of supporting the BAME community via various projects. As we start, there are already votal connections and good relationships with local partner organisations in Greater Manchester who run various projects from sports to mental health.
Having a team with experience, we aim to provide various projects from sports and mental health, the key thing is the team understand the community and how to engage the community but more importantly what projects are needed.
