Organisation description: Our organisation has been running for many years, we have been running self sufficiently, usually by charging the parents a small attendance fee to allow their children to attend during the Salford School Holidays. We also allow a small number of children from deprived families on benefits to attend free of charge, our aim is to provide families in Salford with a safe, caring and low cost support network. Enabling Parents/Carers to leave their children during the school holidays, allowing Parents/Carers to go to their workplace, knowing their children are in safe hands at a low cost to their finances. All our employed staff are DBS checked, First Aid trained and have attended Child Protection Workshops. We also work closely with local high schools and colleges and universities allowing students to come on board helping out in the holidays and carrying out work experience course work/projects etc. We provide activities. mainly football, educational sessions such as heathy eating /well being/anti smoking programmes which were run voluntary by our Local Council. We also provide arts and crafts, indoor games and a cinema room . We provide each child with a breakfast every morning along with refreshments every day, the children bring there own packed lunch. We work with a number of local Grassroots Sports Clubs, sending children from our group to become members of these clubs which are city wide, around the Salford area.
