Organisation description: a) To promote the benefit of the communities of Sudan and non-Sudan in Salford and throughout England and Wales
without distinction of sex, race or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the
people of the above communities and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common
the effort to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with
the object of improving the conditions of life for the said community.
(b) To establish, or secure the establishment of, a community centre (thereafter called "the centre") and to
manage the same (whether alone or in co-operation with any local authority or other person or body) in
furtherance of these objects.
(c) To promote such other exclusively charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined
The organisation will offer practical support to members of the Sudanese community both in Salford
and throughout the UK, dealing with issues such as family reunions, family/child difficulties, and schooling. It
will promote understanding of the Sudanese culture to local people and British culture to Sudanese people
as well as support Sudanese people outside the UK, including within Sudan but also in the diaspora
such as in South Sudan, Chad, Niger and Egypt. This will include fundraising, promoting peace-making
initiatives and links with other national and international organisations"
