Organisation description: we are an allotment association situated near Blackleach country park.
The allotments are a mixture of horticulture, small stock and pigeon lofts .
Blackleach is a newly formed associaton which will become a self managed site once agreement with the council has been finalised .
our Aims
. To provide allotments for local people to grow their own vegetables, fruit and flowers, using organic methods wherever possible, and for those designated poultry and pigeon allotments to allow local people to be able pursue their interest in small Livestock (1)husbandry whilst ensuring high welfare and environmental care for the livestock and their surroundings
2. To contribute to improving the environment by encouraging local, sustainable food production and reducing food miles and conserving water.
3. To have healthy, safe, secure and well-maintained allotments.
4. To improve and encourage biodiversity and conservation.
5. To develop gardening, food production and small livestock husbandry skills through education, and on-site training..
