Organisation description: Community chocolate CIC goal is to bring special needs people, especially children, the joy of chocolate activity.
At the last year, R&M Fine Chocolate run weekly one-hour chocolate activity with and for special needs children from age 8 to 25 at T'mimei Lev school for special education. We found that young children as the older, gain much more than a fun hour. They gain skills that would help them later in their life as an adult.
At the chocolate sessions, we teach the children what is chocolate, how to work with it. The kind of products they can have from it. We start with a simple basic chocolate bar, in a few sessions we got to much complicated products like truffles and 3D lollies.
We match the activity to special events, holidays, and year seasons. At this way, we connect the activity not only to the world and life around us but to their families as well.
