Organisation description: Mission Statement
I4YPC exists to include young people who are socially disadvantaged and excluded from the Arts
and Education, in order that they may be provided with inspiration to lead positive, fruitful lives.
Aims
1. To build a fully comprehensive curriculum-based educational workshop package, to be used
by schools, colleges and alternative educational providers throughout England.
2. To demonstrate our capacity as a leading provider of Theatre Productions and Educational
Workshops, by developing solid strategic partnerships with Local Authorities, Schools, Colleges
and Theatres, nationwide.
3. To tour a large-scale production of our musical issue-based play, ‘INNIT’ to 20 venues,
nationwide by 2024, reaching a minimum of 32,000 (at risk) young people.
4. To decrease the rate of school exclusions in England, by influencing our young audiences to
empower themselves through acquisition of education and as a result, contribute positively to
society.
Values
I4YPC is an experience-led organisation which strongly believes in:
• Encouraging and inspiring disadvantaged young people and communities to participate in the
Arts and Education, where they may be freely creative across a range of platforms.
• Highlighting and tackling issues that arise amongst young people and communities and that
are heavily scrutinized by the wider population and agencies, such as press and government.
• Respecting that young people have their own voice and providing a safe space for those young
people to feel empowered enough to express their views, reflect on their own experiences and
support each other towards a healthier, more positive future.
• Working creatively with excluded young people to equip them with new skills and facilitate
positive growth.
• Complementing the work of other organisations already working with disadvantaged/socially
excluded young people and communities.
• Continuing to learn from our work and respond effectively to new knowledge and identified
needs.
