Organisation description: We are a newly formed Morris dancing group for boys and girls from the age of 3 up to adults, currently teaching 45 members. We provide a safe harm free environment, bringing people from all types of backgrounds together and off the streets. We are growing in numbers each week and need help with funding for uniforms which are mandatory to attend competitions. In the meantime we are currently self-funding by holding raffles, jumble sales, bag packing, name cards etc. This is to help pay towards deposits needed by the organisation for championship accommodation and joining fees. Some children/adults have difficulty engaging with other people, we promote unity in having them dance in lines and symmetrically so they have to trust each other to be in sync. Allowing less confident children to make friends, be disciplined, whilst taking their minds of any anxiety and emotional distress they may have.
