Organisation description: We are a community-based youth project, specializing in detached work with young people in Salford and Prestwich.
We contact young people through our presence on the streets, parks, and where ever they hang out in the community, build trusting relationships, listen tune in to their language values needs, wants and work together adaptively to develop conversations and activities which recognize our common humanity and foster fun, learning, action and change for young people and our communities.
Through our youth workers CAREing, RESPECTing TRUSTing and BELIEVEing in the teens nurturing them holding their hands with unconditional positive regard, their resilience is built empowering them to engage in life and rise to its challenges and are enabled to succeed.
Our growing dedicated and passionate team of professional youth workers receive continuous high -quality training, support & supervision to track the progress of our teens.
Our team leaders actively network nationally and internationally to research what methods and approaches work for our teens. As of now research has shown that the most powerful & effective model that works with teenagers that are dysfunctional is the Detached Youth Work approach. This approach has been proven time and time again (from Amudim USA to Moss side Manchester) to be the catalyst of change and turnaround reducing crime, self-harm, suicide rates drastically.
We signpost & work together with the environment of the youth advocating for their needs, working collaboratively alongside various local organisations, professionals, multi-disciplinary teams, education systems, rehab programs & work environments tailoring their care plan to optimize their chances to success.
As we strongly believe in the power of tapping into the power of supporting parents professionally to be active agents in the rehabilitation of their children, we do our best to bring them onboard and support them professionally to maximise their influence positively.
We provide a non-judgemental base for the teens to feel safe nurtured and cared for. They are provided with food various activities social outlet with quality staff members.

Crossroads is an organisation supporting teens at their crossroads and by being there for them they are empowered to make choices toward life rather than away from life.
