Organisation description: At IIGO we pride ourselves for working closely with Care leavers between the ages of 16 – 18 to develop like skills, preparing them for adulthood with as much independence as possible. We work with multi agencies to give the best quality care for each young person within our services. The vision is to help our young people to triumph and achieve in life regardless of their backgrounds, history or current situations. IIGO will provide a stable and supportive atmosphere with caring, consistent relationships with our CYP Team. We will always listen and respond to our young people’s views, wishes and feelings and consult with them about the development of services, and opportunities we have for them to grow in the positive direction that they see their lives. IIGO allows care leavers to leave care feeling equipped and ready to take on adulthood, strapped with the skills of independence that they have learned during their journey with us. Allowing the transition from care leavers to adulthood to be less daunting than tuning 18 and going out into the world unequipped. The goal is to give a second chance to the children that didn’t get a fair first chance, and to change their futures as life hasn’t always handed everyone the right cards in the past.
