Organisation description: Princes Park Garden Centre is a social enterprise run by community members and managed by the Ability Cooperative Limited. It is a fully operational garden centre and is open all year round. It exists for the benefit of disabled people and the wider community. We want the garden centre to be an important community asset which provides a relaxing, friendly environment that everyone will want to use. We deliver an excellent day opportunities programme in horticulture and woodwork. Supported by our trained staff and volunteers, our day opportunities placements help to produce woodwork items and some of the plants on offer at the garden centre.
Our placements get a lot out of working with us, including learning new skills, making friends and working in a relaxed atmosphere. We offer day opportunity placements to disabled people and anyone who would like to learn and share new skills.
