Aspire is essentially a Social Care Provider to adults with cognitive impairments and physical disabilities in Salford. Providing Day Opportunities, Domiciliary and Community Support , Respite to Carers and social opportunities/activities to people affected by cognitive impairments in the Salford Area. Aspire is a service provider but also operates out of and manages buildings in the Salford area leased from the City Council and Charitable Trust. The most important aim of Aspire is to support people to be able to live in their local communities through "intelligent support" . Addressing the disabling effects of cognitive impairments in skilful and pragmatic ways that are rooted in the person's life in Salford. As such we work with other organisations and groups to support their understanding of impairments to build the community's confidence in welcoming citizens who might otherwise be isolated.
The services in Aspire have a history of advising particularly on Total Communication and Autistic Spectrum Conditions. This ranges from "Easier To read " to Low Stimulation Environments.
We are in the process of reconfiguring the use of some of our buildings. This should be complete by the end of summer and then we'd be able to be clear on booking etc. Our rooms are already used but this is currently ad hoc. or related to specific educational or Dementia Strategy programmes .
