Organisation description: Freestyle Urban Soccer CIC is a community-based organisation that uses Street Soccer & Urban Sports as a means of positive engagement and early interventions within the community. We are a Non profit organisation established in 2010 with the aims to provide young people from socially and economically deprived areas opportunities to fulfil their full potential in life by engaging & developing their skills in a sporting and recreational context thats fully inclusive.
In doing so, Freestyle has successfully worked with and for young people from all backgrounds and abilities during in the evenings and school holidays that has helped to address anti social behaviour, alcohol and drug issues and tackle boredom. Our positive diversionary activities received recognition in 2016 by making the final for the Third Sector Business of the Year Awards for Lancashire as well as receiving a Community Safety Award.
All our staff members hold National qualifications and are DBS vetted as well as holding Safeguarding Children and 1st Aid certifications as Freestyle has robust child protection procedures and policies in place.
