The Wednesday Boothstown Kurling Club
Categories of Work: Befriending, Social activities
Who do you work with?: All Client Groups, Older people
Organisation description: We are a group of people who meet once a week at the Boothstown Community Centre on a Wednesday morning.
The club was initially set up by Salford Council's Well Being team but now we are considered to be "established", we operate as a stand alone club.
The majority of our members are retired but, by meeting once a week we provide a social outlet for people as well as creating an enjoyable and hopefully simple way to keep fit and active.
Membership is open to all and we play from 10.00am until 11.30 am every Wednesday morning.
We play Indoor Kurling at the Boothstown Community Centre and as this is a council run facility, we have to pay rent for the time we use the centre.
This rent has to be paid for by the club members.
