Salford CVS is excited to announce the details for our next Vocal Children, Young People & Families Forum.
Organisations in Salford have committed to work together to become a UNICEF Child Friendly City. The UNICEF Child Friendly City's initiative promotes the realisation of child rights at a local level, through a unique network of local government, VCSE organisations, the private sector, academia, and children themselves.
Salford will join ten other cities from across the UK working towards this prestigious accreditation, where the voices, needs, priorities, and rights of children and young people are an integral part of public policies, programmes, and decisions.
At this Forum you will hear from Rebecca Bibby, the Director of Early Help and School Readiness at Salford City Council. Rebecca is the operational lead for Salford’s Child Friendly City work, and will talk through what a Child Friendly City means for Salford.
Attendees will then have the opportunity to influence what Salford's Child Friendly City may look like and how the VCSE sector can effectively contribute to the process.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Salford’s journey to becoming a UNICEF Child Friendly accredited city.
