Adult Safeguarding Basic Awareness Training

Aim of Session

To give workers in the voluntary and community sector a basic yet effective awareness of how to adequately safeguard and protect adults

Learning Outcomes

As a result of attending the session learners will achieve the following learning outcomes:

  • LO1 Understand what safeguarding is and their role in safeguarding adults
  • LO2 Recognise when an adult is potentially in need of safeguarding and take action
  • LO3 Understand the procedures for making a safeguarding alert 
  • LO4 Understand dignity and respect when working with individuals
  • LO5 Have knowledge of policy, procedures and legislation that supports safeguarding adults. 

Target Audience

Staff and volunteers working in the VCSE sector who provide support, information, advice and guidance or activities to adults on a regular basis.

There is parking to the front plus on street parking.

There is lift access to each training room.
