Salford CVS are pleased to announce our next Vocal Children, Young People & Families Forum, on the theme of Keeping Children and Young People Safe from Harm in Salford.

Creating a safe and welcoming environment where children and young people are respected and valued, is at the heart of Safeguarding.  

We all have a responsibility to help keep children and young people safe from harm in Salford.  Although Salford Safeguarding Children's partnership and the Community Safety Partnership have legal responsibilities to oversee and co-ordinate work undertaken to keep Salford's children and young people safe from harm it is the responsibility of all of us to ensure that our organisations are run in a way that actively prevents harm, harassment, bullying, abuse and neglect. 

At the Forum we will hear directly from:

Kate Pollard, Head Business and Impact Lead - Salford Safeguarding Children Partnership (SSCP)

Denee Cassidy, Prevent and Cohesion Lead Salford/ Prevent Coordinator Salford – Salford City Council

We will then have a roundtable discussions about how the VCSE sector can work more closely with Salford Safeguarding Children's Partnership and Community Safety Partnership to keep Salford's children and young people safe from harm.
