The Department of Health and Social Care is offering free PPE (personal protective equipment) for use by voluntary sector organisations.

You can express interest in the free PPE by completing a short form. A representative of DHSC will contact you to arrange delivery - the PPE and the delivery are both free.

IVAR are running 90 minute drop-in peer support sessions for up to 10 charity leaders at a time, every week, from this month – via Zoom.

Attendees will have a safe space to share challenges – like increasing or changing demand, taking care of your team (and yourself!) after a difficult year, blending online and face-to-face, and managing multiple balancing acts.

The ‘AchieveHer’ is a transitions programme for women, conceived and designed by a collaboration of diverse Manchester based female coaching and mentoring experts.

The next round of 'AchieveHer', which comprises 12 online sessions, starts on the 21 June. Funded places are on offer to women currently not employed in the Greater Manchester area.

A team of volunteers for The Fed’s My Voice project in Greater Manchester have been honoured with The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) - the highest award a voluntary group can receive in the UK and equivalent to an individual receiving an MBE.

Friends, Families and Travellers have produced a guide for charities on how you can join in with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month (GRTHM) which is being celebrated throughout June.

This year, GRTHM are marking Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month using the theme #MakeSomeSpace.

It is Loneliness Awareness Week 2021, every year people and organisations join together to raise awareness by shining a light on loneliness to help remove the stigma surrounding it. The best way to do that is to talk about it!

This week is also Men’s Health Week which is celebrated by the Men’s Health Forum – a charity supporting men's health in England, Wales and Scotland. Their mission is to improve the health of all men and boys, particularly those in the most disadvantaged areas and communities. This year they are supporting Men’s Health Week 2021 with The CAN DO Challenge.

NHS Salford CCG's Innovation Fund provides funding support for innovative new products, service and ways of working, this year they have increased the scope of the fund, and are now also inviting applications for Quality Improvement initiatives. The fund is now open and a total of £500,000 is available.

Applications for grant funding are invited from VCSE organisations who work with disadvantaged communities and/or people living within GM. Support will be focussed on 4 priorities – reducing social isolation, preventing homelessness, emergency support for vulnerable families and children and improving access to employment.

Grants of up to £5,000 for Salford-based voluntary, community or social enterprise organisation to provide EITHER food and activities OR activities only (with food supplied by Citywide) for children aged 4 -16, over 4 weeks of the summer holidays.
