Census 2021 has arrived and if you haven't done so already it's time to fill your census form in, online, or by requesting a paper copy. Census day is 21 March 2021. The survey aims to provide a snapshot of life, which can be used by organisations to help make sure they provide the right services for people.

The deadline for the DCMS Inclusive Economy Partnership’s scale-up programme BOOST 2021 has been extended until 25 March 2021.

BOOST is a six-month, scale-up programme that provides personalised support for free. DCMS are specifically looking for organisations who can improve the livelihoods of people through improved mental health, increased financial resilience, the support and skills to access quality work, and through digital inclusion.

Groundwork Greater Manchester are offering frontline workers across the Northwest free training through the Big Energy Saving Network on how to support customers / beneficiaries on saving energy and money and keeping cosy in their home.

They will also be talking about the funding available in local areas and how to access them.

The training is informal and can be adapted based on the time that your teams have available.

Salford NHS Vaccination Service have made excellent progress in vaccinating the vast majority of Salford's eligible population and are now beginning to evaluate how the programme has been for you and would really appreciate you giving your views about your experience in receiving the vaccine. You also have the opportunity of being entered for a prize of £50 shopping vouchers. 

Media Trust’s Digital Spring School is a free, three-week online programme where you’ll learn how to inspire, engage and mobilise your audience.

This year’s programme will focus on organisations working in Work and Learning and Online Safety.

National Charity NWG Network asks all to unite against child sexual exploitation for today's  National Child Exploitation Awareness Raising Day (18th March). You can support the campaign by sharing a #HelpingHand on social media.

Connecting the Dots is a network to link refugees and people seeking asylum to online creative opportunities, mental health services, local events and activities in Greater Manchester. On their website, you’ll find additional information and activities along with multi-lingual leaflets.

The National Voices conference to realise the power of the voluntary sector is running 2, 9, 16 and 23 March. The conference is exploring how we can dismantle health inequality together. The recordings of the first two days of the conference on poverty and race are available to watch back on their YouTube channel.

Near Neighbours have produced some short videos in several community languages to help people to understand public health advice around the Covid-19 vaccine. Grants of up to £1,000 are available for Salford-based VCSE organisations to provide food and activities for school-age children during Easter holidays 2021.

To apply organisations must be full members of Salford CVS. This grant closes tomorrow (Friday 19 March) at 11am.

Applications for the Local Restrictions Support Grant and Additional Restrictions Grant close on 31 March.

A joint Recycle for Greater Manchester and Suez initiative to support community and voluntary sector groups to deliver projects that help to reduce household waste in Greater Manchester launches on 1 April. When live, VCSE organisations can apply for a council-level grant or a GM-wide grant.
