Job Purpose

To lead and develop a range of domestic abuse services, including those focused on prevention, early intervention, behaviour change and crisis provision and services for victims, perpetrators, children and young people. Actively take part in the Senior Leadership of TLC: Talk, Listen, Change acting as a senior advisor on Safeguarding/Risk Management and overall organisational development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Be a member of the Senior Leadership Team of TLC: Talk, Listen, Change and work in conjunction with the Chief Executive, other Senior Leaders and the Board to develop and further the business interests of the organisation.
  1. Acts as Safeguarding Lead for TLC: Talk, Listen, Change as part of the Senior Leadership Team, handling all concerns sensitively, speedily and effectively.
  1. Lead, develop and inspire others to achieve high performance standards in line with TLC: Talk, Listen, Change behaviours and values.
  1. Take a lead role in enabling effective culture change by providing a culture of excellence and development
  1. Act as senior advisor on domestic abuse matters across the organisation ensuring that Senior leaders and their teams have access to high quality support and advice.
  1. Provide strong and inspirational leadership and management of all domestic abuse services including the provision of all line management duties for direct reports (including regular one-to-ones, performance appraisals, team meetings, sickness and performance management).
  1. Support the Head of Business Services in the recruitment of staff.
  1. Provide delegated budget management of all domestic abuse services, ensuring that all services are within budget and spend is monitored regularly. Provide explanation on key variances when needed.
  1. Create, build and maintain positive long term relationships with a whole range of domestic abuse stakeholders.
  1. Represent TLC: Talk, Listen, Change at a range of both strategic and operational domestic abuse meetings, contributing widely and creatively in discussions and presenting where appropriate.
  1. Develop the organisation’s domestic abuse service portfolio through spot purchase arrangements with a range of partners and by offering support to the CEO in tendering activity.
  1. Mobilise all new domestic abuse services when secured, ensuring that specific contract requirements are fully met.
  1. Provide contract management for all domestic abuse contracts; reporting back to commissioners/funders on both financial and non-financial information. 
  1. Ensure the impact of domestic abuse services is routinely measured, analysed, shared widely and used to aid further development and improvement.
  1. Ensure that the quality of all domestic abuse services is as high as possible, with oversight and management of robust quality assurance and case management processes.
  1. Lead the retention of Respect accreditation.
  1. Perform any other duties within the general scope of this job profile or as reasonably required by the Chief Executive.
  1. Commit to continuous professional development through engagement in specific opportunities agreed with the Chief Executive.
