Emmaus Salford are seeking to employ a suitably qualified Companion Development Officer, this is a full time post. Emmaus Salford has a small number of staff and accommodation for up to x26 Companions, this role is a key to the development and support of our Companions. .
As a full time post you will be expected to work a 40 hour week, however the days/hours worked are agreed with the Community Director; we operate the Community x7 days a week throughout the year.
Salary within a range commencing at £18,000 p.a. Appointment to the role, salary and further progression within the salary range is at the sole discretion of Trustees.
Annual Leave: 20 days plus Bank Holidays
Emmaus Salford is a local charity, our Companions (residents) have all previously experienced homelessness and now live and volunteer to work in our Community, which operates a social enterprise/shops in other locations.
As the Companion Development Officer you will work alongside the Community Director to undertake the initial acceptance of new Companions and their induction into life within the community. Working on a one to one basis you will make an assessment of Companions’ skills and learning and advise them in options to develop their skills and/or support individuals to resolve personal matters. Separately you will advise and support Companions in accessing any external support and/or agencies.
