Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. 

Position: Services Manager 
Location: Nelson

About the role: 

The role of Services Manager is key to delivering on our ambition to be here for anyone affected by dementia – wherever they are, whatever they are going through. 

This current opportunity is in Pennine Lancashire where a pioneering new approach to shaping and delivering services is underway. 

Pennine Lancashire forms a key part of the Cumbria and Lancashire Locality. It is one of 4 areas in that locality which also comprises of Cumbria, Norther Lancashire and Central and West Lancashire. 

The Services Manager leads and manages a local team delivering direct support, a telephone based service and or face to face support through our team of employees and volunteers. Alzheimer’s Society is an integral aspect of the myriad of efforts in this area to ensure that people living with dementia are valued and included in our community. 

About you: 

The successful candidate will be passionate about improving the lives of people affected by dementia. You will work hard to understand and deliver the Alzheimer’s Society vision through living our values and delivering on our strategy “New Deal on Dementia”. You will achieve the outcomes that people want and need through the effective development and management of your team and being an inspirational leader by example. 

The role is varied and demanding. You will be agile, forward thinking with a natural ability to plan and deliver on target and to the desired standard. 

You will be comfortable working with a range of people and organisations to unite and multiply our efforts to defeat dementia. 

You will be joining an organisation that is committed to developing its people.
